Back-to-School Drive - final days!
The mission team at Grace is supporting our mission partner, Cornerstone Christian Academy, with a back-to-school drive.  CCA is committed to providing affordable education to over 200 inner city children each year.  We've had a wonderful start in helping these students begin the year on the right foot, but let's see if we can collect enough items for the entire school.  Items needed include: loose leaf paper, divider tabs, 2 inch three ring binders, folders, pencils, pencil sharpeners, colored pencils, pens, highlighters, rulers, erasers, white board markers, tissues, large bottle of hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, and flash drives. Donations bins will be placed at our church’s Vista Road entrance until 8/20.  To learn more about CCA go to

Grace Place
Bob will be back - for Bingo!   Yeah! Bob MacFarland, Grace's very own favorite Bingo caller, will join us at Grace Place on Friday, August 18th.  Please join us for a fun-filled afternoon of Bingo and prizes.  Lunch is served at 12:00 noon and the game will begin about 12:45 pm.
Hope to see you there!

Adult Education - Christianity 101
What are the core beliefs of Christianity?  What should Christians know about the Bible, the Trinity, the resurrection, the second coming, etc.?  What beliefs are essential to Christianity and where is it OK for Christians to hold differing opinions?  Pastor Sandy Hull will be presenting Christianity 101 on Sundays at 9:30 am in the Palmer Room, starting September 17 and continuing for seven weeks.  If you’re a spiritual seeker considering Christianity, or a Christian who would like to review the basics or be better able to share your faith, this is for you.

Presbytery of Philadelphia 300th Anniversary Celebration
The Presbytery of Philadelphia, founded in 1717, is celebrating its 300th year of existence!  It is the oldest Presbyterian corporate entity in the United States and home to some of the oldest Presbyterian churches in our nation. Presbytery’s story is deeply rooted in both American and Presbyterian history, illustrating faithfulness and courage throughout its heritage.  This celebration will culminate with a Presbytery-wide worship service on Saturday, October 7 at 10:00 am at the Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church.  Please join the celebration - ALL are invited!
Please join in the celebration of 300 years by helping Presbytery’s efforts to raise $300,000 for ministry partners in the Philadelphia region. This one-time offering will be equally distributed to eight local initiatives as they launch new efforts to elevate the education of children, disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline, and promote restorative justice.  Click here to learn more about these initiatives.

The Session and Mission Team of Grace have committed up to $5,000 in 1:1 matching funds for contributions raised by our congregation.  Please help Grace maximize our support of these important initiatives. Checks can be made payable to Grace Presbyterian Church (please note 300th on the memo line) and sent to Tina Hinks in the church office.
