Annual Meeting and Lunch
Join us after the 10:30 service on January 29 for the annual meeting and lunch immediately following. Get to know your fellow worshipers and all that goes on in the life of the church. Be sure to bring an appetite. Sign-ups will be outside the Palmer Room before and after both services. See you there!
We at Grace have been enjoying a growing partnership with Cedar Park Presbyterian Church. Two upcoming events will further this partnership. On Sunday, January 15, Cedar Park’s pastor, Dr. Janel Dixon, will preach at Grace and Sandy Hull will preach at Cedar Park.Cedar Park and Grace will be co-hosting a meeting of the Presbytery of Philadelphia on January 31. At that meeting, Dr. Dixon will be installed as Moderator of the Presbytery.
On Friday, January 20, Thomas Wieckowski will be presenting “Making Marathon: A History of Early Wyncote”. This lecture follows the development of the land from William Penn’s green countryside, through Gilded Age resort, to the village for “the rest of us.” Nationally known bee-keepers, international bankers, entrepreneurial congressmen and dabblers in the novel sport of professional baseball made the community we know as Wyncote today. This presentation is based on the 2009 book Making Marathon by Thomas J. Wieckowski."
Lunch is at 12:00 and the presentation will begin at 12:45. Bring a friend and join us!
