Adult Education
On Sunday, February 12, the Adult Education is entitled Refugees: Is There Common Ground  for Christians?. Our nation is deeply divided over the issue of refugees, and there are Christians on both sides of the question. At 9:30 a.m. in the Palmer Room, Pastor Sandy Hull will give a presentation seeking to identify biblical principles that inform this issue on which Christians of all political persuasions can agree.  No attempt will be made to propose one “Christian” policy on refugees.  Rather, we will look at Scripture together in hopes of finding a basis for conversations that are, in both content and tone, distinctively Christian.

Pop-Up Potluck
On Saturday, February 25, which is also the last Saturday before Lent, was an evening just crying out for a potluck supper. So Judy and Dave Alexander’s small group will be handling the logistics, Pastor Sandy Hull will be leading some fun activities, and it will all begin at 6 pm on Saturday, February 25 in Muyskens Hall. Please bring a covered dish for 6-8 people. Desserts and drinks will be provided. Don’t miss an enjoyable night for all ages!

Lunch is at  12:00 and the program begins about 12:45.

On Friday, February 24, June Hudson is returning to Grace Place to share and demonstrate the gift of Pilates. If you missed her frst visit, you won’t want to miss her presentation. She will present the basics of Pilates, the exercise system, as well as some background information on the man whom it is named after. Pilates can be done right here at Grace Place without even getting out of our chairs! By the time you leave, you will have found your “powerhouse!” Wear clothing that is comfortable and that you can stretch and reach in. Overly loose or tight clothing can get in the way and impede movement. Be prepared to feel energized and awakened after learning the gentle progression of movements. As Joseph Pilates said, “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”

Men’s Retreat
Men, mark your calendars! The Men’s Retreat is March 3-5, 2017. Please consider joining us for a weekend of fellowship, spiritual renewal, study, fun, and relaxation at the Harvey Cedars Bible Conference. This year our group will focus John Ortberg’s work The Life You Always Wanted. The life that Christ desires of us is indeed the life that we truly want. Through videos and small group discussions, we’ll explore why we should and how we can transform our lives into the manner that Jesus desires.  More details to come.
