Won’t You Be My Neighbor?
Unit 2 of our Sunday School program begins on 10/22, and we are still in need of a few “Good Samaritans” to help shepherd, and to run our Movie and Drama stations. Please prayerfully consider lending your time to the children of Grace.  Let’s teach our kids that they are never too young to help.  Let’s lead them by our example.  Contact Kelly Hudson at khudson@gracejenkintown.org with any questions, or sign up here or on the bulletin-board across from the office.

Children’s Choirs – Ages 4 yrs-5th Grade
Interested in participating in our children’s choirs?  No experience or special musical talent necessary, and children are welcome to give choir a try without being committed to sing the entire year.  If interested in Cherub Choir (Age 4 through Grade 2) complete this registration form and return it to office@gracejenkintown.org, or drop it off to the church office.  If interested in Chapel Choir (Grades 3-5) complete this registration form and return it to office@gracejenkintown.org, or drop it off to the church office.

Wellspring’s Saturday Breakfast Ministry

Interested in helping cook, serve breakfast and distribute clothing, toiletries and snacks for up to 80 needy guests?  This shelter ministry at Old First UCC in Philadelphia supports hunger relief efforts by providing a place for guests to enjoy a hot breakfast and fellowship. Guests are also offered the opportunity to select clothing, snacks and toiletries from the clothing cupboard each Saturday.
To join the group (volunteers must be 14yrs or older), add your name to the sign-up sheet located on the bulletin board across from the church office. For more information, please call the church office at 215-887-6117.

Service Learning Opportunity
Are you a student in need of service hours?  Grace Church is looking for two (or three) responsible students to polish the brass of our Church’s handbells. Supplies will be provided.  This outstanding opportunity can be arranged through Handbell Director Kevin Engleman: ktengleman@aol.com or by calling the Church Office: 215.887.6117.

Grace Place – Upcoming Programs
On Friday, October 20, The Historical Society of Montgomery County will reveal some of the amazing structures of our region, their history and the people who created them.   Come early and join your Grace Place friends in playing some favorite games, like Rummikub and Scrabble, or working on a jigsaw puzzle.  Lunch is served at noon and programs begin at 12:45. This is a friendly community and we hope you will join us-and bring a friend!

Church World Service - Blankets+
Thank you to all who have donated to support Blanket Sunday at Grace, which helps Church World Service help people in crisis.  Your support helps provide families who have lost their homes with blankets for warmth and shelter, and with clean, safe water. This is a worldwide need and also a very real need in our country following the recent hurricanes.  Donations can be made through the month of October by sending a check to the church office or dropping it in the offering plate on Sunday.  Checks may be made out to Grace Presbyterian Church with “CWS” on the memo line.

Cornerstone Christian Academy - Morning of Service
Help us reach our goal of 20 volunteers for Cornerstone Christian Academy's morning of service. Some of the tasks will include cleaning classrooms and painting. We will meet at Grace on 10/14 at 8:15am to carpool/caravan down and will return around 12pm. Please sign up here or on the Mission Team Bulletin Board in the hallway outside of the church office.

Family Game Night
Join us on Friday 10/20 from 6:30-8:30 pm in Muysken's Hall for Family Game Night. Come with a canned food item to support Loaves & Fishes and Interfaith Food Pantry and stay to play board games. Questions: contact Michele Smeal at m_smeal@hotmail.com

Breathing Room Foundation - Yard Work
Yard work volunteers provide a huge service to a Breathing Room family. Surgery,
recovery and cancer treatments often result in exhaustion and physical limitations.
Looking out the window at an overgrown yard increases a recipient’s stress. A yard
work volunteer rakes, trims, plants and mows the yard back to a beautiful oasis for the
family to relax and enjoy time together. We will be meeting on 11/4 at 9am at Grace and dividing into groups (rain date is 11/5 at 1:30PM). Sign up here.

Red Cross Blood Drive – The winter Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Monday, Dec. 4.  Anyone who wishes to make a donation must not have given blood after Monday, October 9.  Please keep this in mind in order to support our Blood Drive.  More details will be announced at a later date.
