Our listening groups began this week, but it's not too late to sign up! This is your opportunity to learn about the survey results and find out about our community. These groups will allow you to both listen and be heard as we seek God’s direction for our church for the next 5 years or more, and develop a strategic plan. We're listening and we want to hear from you! Sign up for one of the available time slots online.
Local Food Cupboards
Help support local food cupboards! Mission Team is sponsoring a food drive from February 21st to March 20th. Grab a bag and fill it with food. The cupboards are in need of 100% fruit juices (please, no small juice boxes), peanut butter, canned meat/tuna packed in water and granola/breakfast bars. Contact Marylouise Still at 215-680-3308 or firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Thank you!
One Great Hour of Sharing
One Great Hour of Sharing offering will be collected during Lent, through Easter Sunday, March 27th. One Great Hour of Sharing offering supports the poor in our own country and around the world through promoting self-development, assisting in disaster relief and working to end hunger.
Self Development of People: People investing in People
Perhaps you have volunteered at the Beacon Arts Program, mentored a student at Cornerstone Christian Academy, participated in a youth or adult mission trip with the Appalachian Service Project or The Philadelphia Project. These are amazing opportunities we have right here through Grace to partner with others in improving their lives. But we can’t reach all of those in need.
Giving to One Great Hour of Sharing extends our efforts by providing funds to Presbytery’s Self-development of People program so that our generosity can reach others across our country and around the world. As each of you has received gifts, use them to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s gracious grace. Please give generously to One Great Hour of Sharing.
Join us for the 24th Annual Easter Festival following the 10:30 AM Service with great Crafts and fellowship for families on Palm Sunday. See Flyer for more details.
If you are interested in serving as a Lector at the 10:30 Sunday service, please contact Ginny Gray at ggagain@Verizon.net or 215-572-1235. You do not need previous experience as you will receive detailed instructions prior to the service. It is a wonderful opportunity to assist in leading our worship at Grace.
Ministry Opportunity: Vacation Bible School Leadership Team
The Children’s Ed team is excited for our 2016 Summer VBS program scheduled for Monday, August 15 through Friday, August 19 with the Evening Program on Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 pm. We are looking for a leadership team to work with Pastor Wonjae on putting an incredible week of adventure together. Please contact email@example.com or call the church office. Please prayerfully consider how you can support this ministry to our children.
World Day of Prayer
World Day of Prayer sponsored by Church Women United will be held Friday, March 4 at 12:00 noon at Salem Baptist Church, Summit Ave. & Leedom St., Jenkintown. The theme of the service this year is “Receive Children, Receive Me” written by the women of Cuba. All women (and even men!) are invited to attend the service at our neighboring church and to stay for the luncheon at 1:00. Please come and join with others from the Old York Road area churches in celebrating this ecumenical service devoted to receiving children as Jesus receives them.
This Sunday we continue with our forgiveness series and present a short video by Rob Bell. This video is from his Nooma series titled Luggage, and asks the difficult question: Why is it sometimes so hard to forgive? Adult Ed will begin @ 930 in the Palmer room.
