Grace Place - February 15
Rick Spector from Moviehouse Productions will present on program called “A Century of Movie Memories”.  Come and enjoy his tribute to 100 years of classic movies and what they mean to great film buffs.  Lunch is at 12:00, and the program will begin at 12:45.  Bring a friend and join us!

Adult Education - February 17
This Sunday is the third session in Race, Reconciliation, and Remembering.  The session Sugar, Blood, and Faith: The West Indies will be led by Pastor Sandy Hull.

The Intergenerational Choir(IGC) wants YOU! - February 17
Missed rehearsal last week because you were out of town, at retreat, or just forgot?  You can still sing with the choir on Sunday, March 3.  Join us for rehearsal this and next Sunday at 11:30 in the chapel.  Come and make a joyful noise to the Lord and fellowship through music.

February 24:  Adult Education
This Sunday is the final session in Race, Reconciliation, and Remembering.  The session Forgotten Terrorism: The Mississippi Delta will be led by Pastor Sandy Hull.

March 2:  Wellspring Saturday Breakfast Ministry 
Volunteers needed (14 yrs or over) to serve breakfast and distribute clothing, toiletries and snacks for up to 80 needy guests at Old First UCC in Philadelphia.  A small group from Grace serves on the first Saturday of the month.  Email Claire McHugh for more information or to sign up.

March 3-April 7:  Adult Education - Sacred Rhythms
Join Cindy Wollman, June Hudson and their small group as they present 5 weeks of sacred practices that can transform your life!

March 6:  Ash Wednesday
We will share a meal at Grace and then head to Cedar Park for worship.  More details to follow.  

March 12:  Grace Fellowship Meal
Sign ups are open for the March Fellowship Meal.  Please sign up online here or at the welcome center.
 

March 15:  All Youth Bowling Night
On Friday, March 15 all youth (grades 6-12) are invited to a bowling night! Join us for a fun night of bowling, pizza, and lots of laughs. More information to follow soon.

March 29:  Wine and the Bible -- Save the Date!  
The GO team will be hosting an event titled "Wine and the Bible".    We will welcome two Princeton Seminary professors who will walk us through the prevalence of wine in the Bible and in the culture of biblical times. Following the presentation, wine varieties that are relevant to presentation will be available for tasting.   This event will be at an offsite location.  Details will be provided soon.  

March 29-31:  Middle School Retreat 
The middle school youth will be going on a retreat to A Common Mission Experience (ACME) in southwest Philadelphia for a weekend of fun, fellowship, and service. Cost for the weekend is $100.  Email  or phone Pastor Kristen to register and for more information.

July 28-August 3: Adult Mission Trip
The adult mission trip for this summer is coming together! Join us for a week of hurricane relief in Kinston, North Carolina.  Email or phone Pastor Kristen for more information. You can sign up on our website here.

Pray for Our Youth! - February 8-10
On Friday afternoon, 6 high school youth and 2 advisers will head out for a weekend retreat at Camp Johnsonburg in Johnsonburg, NJ. Please join us in prayer for the retreat participants' safety, growth in relationships with God and one another, and revelation of God's continuing work in their lives.

Adult Education - February 10
This Sunday is the second session in Race, Reconciliation, and Remembering.  The focus will be on events in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963.  There will be a 20-minute documentary and then a discussion led by Josh Jablonski, who teaches American history.  Future sessions, led by Pastor Sandy Hull, are:

  • February 17 - Sugar, Blood, and Faith: The West Indies

  • February 24 - Forgotten Terrorism: The Mississippi Delta


Prizes Needed - through February 10
At our first Fellowship Meal on Tuesday, February 12th, we will have a fun night of BINGO.  We would like to collect prizes for this event.  Please bring in unopened/unused gifts, unused gift cards, or consider donating small prizes for any age group.  Prizes can be placed in the bin at the donation area labeled BINGO.  

Come and Sing in the Intergenerational Choir! - February 10
Join the Intergenerational Choir (IGC) to sing and fellowship through music with family, friends, and church members of all ages from 5 years old to 105.  We will sing at the 10:30 worship service occasionally throughout the year beginning on March 3.  Rehearsals will be in the chapel on Sunday February 10, 17, and 24 from 11:30 -12:15.  Please try to attend at least two of the three rehearsals.  All will need to attend the final rehearsal on March 3 at 9:30 am in the choir room. 

Fellowship Meal - February 12 
Next Tuesday, February 12th will be our first Fellowship Meal.  The meal will cost $5 for adults, $3 for seniors and children.  It will be from 5:30-7:00 pm.  The menu for this month is stuffed manicotti, salad and bread.  There will be a PB and J station for children.  PLEASE SIGN UP either online or at the welcome center.  It is important for the cooks to get an accurate number  This month's program will be Bingo. There are prizes for all ages.  

Prayer and Pilates - February 13
Join us each Wednesday for six weeks at 5:30 pm in the Palmer Room. We will be working towards strengthening our bodies and spiritual lives, creating fellowship, and becoming stronger and more motivated to be the healthy person God intends us to be.

 Please bring a mat and a small pillow and wear clothes that you can easily move in. It is helpful to be able to get down on the floor and get back up again.  Email June Hudson with any questions or for more information.

Grace Place - February 1
Learn how to detect and protect yourself from phone call and email scams! Join us as Chief of Police DiValentino, from the Jenkintown Police Department, shares interesting and important information. Lunch will be served at noon and the program will begin at 12:45 pm.

Eskimo Bowl Flag Football Game - February 3
Join the Grace Church middle and high school youth groups and their families for a flag football game from 2-4 pm at the Jenkintown Middle/High School playing field located next to the tennis courts on Walnut Street. There will be a place for all to play together or cheer the players on. Come for fun, fellowship, friendly competition! Warm beverages will be provided. There will be no regular High School Youth Group that evening.  Email Pastor Kristen with questions or for more information.

Upcoming Events

February 8-10:  Men's Retreat
The retreat will be held at the Harvey Cedars Bible Conference this year.  We are excited to have Bob Hudson as our guide this year after recently completing his studies from Westminster Theological Seminary.   Bob will be leading us with a theme of “The Person and Work of Jesus”.   Friday night will include dinner at the Van Buren’s followed by an opening “meet and greet”, with the teaching sessions occurring on Saturday.   We will then finish up with a church service on Sunday morning.   Folks are welcome to come for the weekend or just for the day on Saturday.   Scholarship funds are available.  Please contact Erik Dreisbach or Jim Still with any questions.  Register on our website here.

February 10:  Come and Sing!

February 12:  Fellowship Meals Begin
Grace will host fellowship meals on the second Tuesday of each month.  Our First Meal will be complemented by a fun Bingo night following the meal!!  

The meal charge is $5 and will be from 5:30-7:00 pm.  Families, friends or small groups can sign up to cook for approximately 30-40 people.  This is a fun way to work together and provide food for a fun night!  Contact Stephanie by phone or email for more information.  Sign up at the Welcome Center or on online here.
