The Stated Meeting of Session was held on May 28, 2019
After opening prayer and a time of devotions Session:
Agreed to the ordination and installation of church officers on June 9th if the way be clear.
Agreed to meet next on July 23, and not to meet in June.
Received a comprehensive report with recommendations from members of the Capital Projects Committee. After a time of questions, Elder Hudson recognized the work done on behalf of the church, and thanked the members of the Capital Projects Committee. In response to this presentation and to move forward with this phase of GRACE CHANGES LIVES (ReVision Plan Year 3) Session agreed to:
Enter into a contract with Horizons Stewardship as the consultant in engaging and forming the capital campaign and the Capital Campaign Committee.
Commission the Capital Projects Committee to move forward in prioritizing (with input), organizing, implementing and facilitating the projects that will enhance, improve and maintain Grace Presbyterian Church for years to come.
Authorize the borrowing of up to $100,000 from the Endowment Fund, for the purposes outlined in the Capital Projects Committee report. The loan will include written conditions for repayment of the loan to the Endowment Fund.
Approve a project to reduce clutter in the church.
Received an update on ReVision Plan Year 3- GRACE CHANGES LIVES
Intergenerational Fellowship: A Committee for future planning and coordination of these meals has formed: Susan Dorshimer, Ginny Gray and Christie Hayes will serve on this team.
Adult Mission Trip: Is postponed for a later date. Although there is greater interest in a trip, only 3 participants had signed up for this summer’s trip. A fall weekend event is under consideration Ministry to
Youth and Young Adults: A Young Adult Mission Trip is being considered for Spring 2020.
