Adult Education

As an essential part of Grace Church, the Adult Education Team offers opportunities for growth and learning. Opportunities for study are offered from September through May on Sunday mornings at 9:15 AM, Tuesdays at noon, and Wednesday mornings. Come every week or as often as you can. Join us as we strengthen this vital connection, one to another, as a congregation, and, most importantly, connect us individually with the resources and insights to aid in our life-long faith journey.

Special topics and series on Sundays at 9:15 AM. For past topics, audio recordings and more, visit Sermons and Bulletins

This group meets at Bonnet Lane Restaurant in Abington on Wednesdays at 7:30 AM, feeding mind and body debriefing the previous sermon and previewing the text for the upcoming Sunday.

Meets on Tuesdays at Noon in the Palmer Room beginning with fellowship over a brown bag lunch followed by study time together.  For more information, please email or call the church office.

Grace Nursery School

Grace Nursery School is a wonderful, warm and caring environment for young children ages 2 to 5 (PreK). Parents are encouraged to visit the school in session before enrolling a child. Please contact us to make arrangements to visit and to request an application. Jill Quinto is the Nursery School Director and can be reached at or at 215-887-6117, extension 23 between the hours of 9am-1pm Monday to Friday.

Grace Nursery School is a non-sectarian weekday school licensed by the State Board of Private Academic Schools since its founding in 1954. Each class is under the direct supervision of a trained state-certified teacher and assisted by another qualified teacher. Grace nursery school:

  • Provides the boys and girls with a happy, relaxed nursery school atmosphere where each child can grow and mature at his or her own individual rate of growth.
  • Provides the support needed for a happy transition from home life to the larger world of elementary school. At Grace, children have the opportunity to develop in many ways through a variety of activities. These activities include art, music, and free play to enhance creativity; playground equipment, large blocks, and wheel toys to develop motor control; language, story time, puzzles, show & tell, games, science, and numbers to develop intellectual stimulation. Trips, special programs and cooking experiences are important parts of the program. Periods of active play are alternated with quiet learning experiences. These experiences nurture the emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth of each individual thus focusing on the whole child. Our aim is to insure a positive first-school experience for all.
  • Is a cooperative school involving parents as an active part of the program on a scheduled basis. This participation averages 4-5 mornings throughout the year so that parents have the opportunity to observe their child in a social setting. We believe that both parents and children benefit from this cooperative venture since the school works closely with the home. Although it is important to our program, parent involvement is voluntary and not a requirement for registration.
  • Opens mid-September and continues through May with vacations at Thanksgiving, two weeks in December and one week in the Spring (Easter).

Parents are encouraged to visit the school in session before enrolling a child. Please contact us to make arrangements to visit and to request an application.

The purpose of the two-year-old program is to provide a social experience for this age child in a relaxed environment. It provides the two-year-old with the opportunity to be with other children the same age for two hours one or two mornings a week. The child becomes aware of sharing, socializing, and living outside the family. Children do not need to be toilet trained.
