Confirmation is a moment of exploration and encouragement in the faith formation of high school students (grades 9-12). High school is a prime time to consider what it means to take more ownership of faith and for to receive the opportunity to be confirmed as an active member into our church. It is also a time for students to vocalize their beliefs, ask hard questions, and explore their faith. Our primary goals in confirmation are to learn about faith and following Jesus, help the confirmands raise questions about their beliefs, encourage a confidence in their faith, and to promote a lasting fellowship among the group. This includes fellowship with each other, with their mentors, and with God. We meet monthly during flexibly scheduled times from November-May for food, laughter, learning, and exploration.
